Yoga Teacher Training Intensive
Mastering the Art of Hands-on Assisting
7th, 8th & 9th February 2025
Abergavenny, Wales
GET CONFIDENT WITH THE WAY
Learn how to connect with students through the healing power of touch.
Develop your skill at delivering hands-on assists and you will enhance your teaching practice as a whole.
Tactile communication can be a highly effective way of translating your instructions directly into the student’s body.
The art of assisting, is not just about hands-on assists, it is about how you see your students, and how you communicate with them to expand their awareness and their practice.
Assists have the power to create more space for our students, more openness, more stability, more satisfaction, more fun or more freedom.
Ultimately hands-on assists have the ability to open your students' awareness to what is possible in their practice.
This intensive programme is designed for yoga teachers that are passionate about enhancing their teaching skills.

Meet Your Facilitators
Emma Saunders
Emma began her yoga journey humbly at The Hose of Yoga by volunteering, soon after the South West London studio doors opened, over 10 years ago. She quickly became an integral part of the studio as Leader of Success growing and running a strong team and brining yoga and transformation to hundreds of people.
After the arrival of her eldest child she listened to the calling of the Welsh valleys and returned home to focus on growing her own family and founded Simply Self Care, providing yoga and wellness in Abergavenny, South Wales.
Yoga training programmes continue to be a driving passion. As a lead mentor for THE WAY she coaches her students to find their fullest expression and step into their personal power.
Maryann Huynh
A student of yoga since 2007, and a teacher since 2016. Maryann is a 500-hour yoga teacher, trained mainly in Baptiste Power Vinyasa. She has also taken on additional training in Yin Yoga, Mandala Vinyasa, NuPower Yoga and Reformer Pilates.
In addition to teaching classes across London, Maryann also facilitates trainings and mentorship groups for new and experienced teachers. Maryann is passionate about sharing this practice so that we can live more fully and also helping fellow yoga teachers maximise their potential.
Off the mat, you’ll find Maryann walking her tiny dachshund, Wilson, indulging in movement (Peloton, Reformer Pilates, Weights, Yoga, Padel - she dabbles in it all!) or in the midst of a DIY project at her halfway-renovated South East London home.
“Giving a good yoga assist is an art form; it is the art of seeing your students and translating your instructions directly into their body and nervous system.”
